I received this pet training mat just in time. We just bought our first brand new piece of furniture, a reclining love seat, and do not want the dog and cat on it. Our furniture in the past has all been bought used or given to us so we did not think letting the dog on the couch was a big deal. We paid a lot of money for our new couch and do not want it ruined. This mat seems to be working very well, the dog has not yet been on the couch. I do not think it ever even zapped her she just does not like the plastic. It only works to keep the cat off the seat, he still sits on the back when we are not home may need to get another one of these.
