This light is perfect, first it is solar powered so no batteries and no electric. Next it is just enough light so you can see the stairs in the dark, but not so much light it annoys the neighbors. We put it on our side stairs that seldom get used in the summer, but during the school year the kids next door come over at 6 am to wait for the bus. With this light I will not need to stress about getting up to turn the light on so early in the morning.
